Optimising Blood Pressure and Cellular Health: SKY News Australia Interviews Dr Lauren Burns for World Hypertension Day

Thank you to Dr Lauren Burns and Sky News Australia for highlighting the importance of blood pressure awareness and cellular health during a recent World Hypertension Day segment.

In the interview, Dr Burns reinforced the need for Australians to stay proactive with regular health checks, noting that more than half of individuals with elevated blood pressure may be unaware of it. She shared practical lifestyle strategies including nutrition, movement, sleep and stress management, and drew attention to the growing interest in mitochondrial health and endothelial function as part of a whole-person approach to cardiovascular wellbeing.

Dr Burns also highlighted the role of endogenously produced Ubiquinol, which supports mitochondrial energy production and may help maintain cellular and cardiovascular health.

As conversations shift toward preventative and systems-based care, it’s encouraging to see national platforms giving airtime to the science behind healthy ageing and long-term wellness.
